What to know.

Do I need martial arts experience to begin?

No. We welcome beginners and offer beginner and fundamentals classes that require no prior martial arts experience.

Do I need to bring a gi?

If you do not own a gi, you can purchase one at our gym.

What is no-gi?

No-gi is jiu jitsu training without the traditional uniform. It combines wrestling and submissions, and we have no-gi training clothes available for purchase at our gym.

Can my children train with you?

Yes. We offer kids classes for children ages four and up. Visit our pricing and schedule pages for current membership options and class times.

Do you offer women's self-defense training?

We offer occasional beginner-friendly, women-focused Valkyrie Defense seminars when scheduled, and the program may also be requested directly. Contact us for current availability.

How can jiu jitsu benefit police officers?

Jiu jitsu gives officers practical options for controlling physically violent encounters while helping keep officers and members of the public safer. We also offer law-enforcement-focused seminars.

Can jiu jitsu help me get in shape?

Yes. Jiu jitsu is a full-body physical martial art, and workout equipment is available at our facility.
